From one mama to another, I want you to know that you and your mental health matter.
Let me say that again.. You matter, and your mental health matters!
As new mamas our needs are often pushed aside as all of our energy is channeled into this new little person.. which is normal in this demanding phase of life. As someone who has struggled deeply with postpartum mental health, I am here to remind you that whatever you are feeling in your vast range of new emotions, you are worthy of validation and support.
Through the beauty & mess of new motherhood, I want you to remember that no two families are the same. We may all be weathering the same storm, but we are not all in the same boat. Some mamas have yachts full of resources while others are alone in rusty canoes, and no matter how hard you paddle, you don't seem to get anywhere.
You were not meant to do motherhood alone. You are beautiful, you are strong, and you are worthy of support. Whether you are just feeling weepy, or you have intrusive thoughts that inhibit your ability to function, you are not alone and there is help available to you. There is NO shame in keeping your family safe, happy, and healthy. ♥

Some Of My Favs..
“Making mothers feel safe, known, encouraged, and loved, the Coffee + Crumbs podcast has helped me through some difficult days. Their christian based episodes have humor and depth, ranging from how to survive the endless piles of laundry to weeping on the kitchen floor. Their book 'The Magic of Motherhood' is also one of my favorite reads.”
“This book was a life saver. Our first daughter was, well, difficult. Between colic screaming all day and waking up every 45 minutes all night, we were sinking fast. This short & simple book gave us step by step instructions on multiple sleep training methods to help us get back on track.”
“Let's talk Counselling..
I can't even begin to describe how helpful counselling has been. Having someone to validate & help me sort out my feelings has been so refreshing. If you are unsure where to start, check out inkblottherapy.com”
